The attempt to kill the mayor of Mosul today by a car bomb(15 dead)makes me wonder about the situation in Iraqi Kurdistan again. We keep hearing about the Shia and Sunni problems in the South, and very little about the Kurds (until a bomb goes off) It seems to me that the situation there, with it's connections with Iran Turkey and Syria, is potentially far more explosive than we are led to believe.
