This is a quote from Hans Blix, which I think is very succinct.

"They put exclamation marks where they should have put question marks".

20.7.04

it's all down to the 1960's. Bollocks.

19.7.04

Just like they hated the secular regime of Saddam. Again, no connection.
I just heard on the radio that the US is investigating the possibility that Iran was involved in 911. The Taliban massacred 9 Iranian diplomats in Mazar al- Sharif: the Pakistani salafis (covertly supported by the anti-Iranian Pakistani government and maybe the CIA) have for years been going accross the border into Iranian Baluchistan to kill Shia.  Guys, the wahhabi/salafi fanatics who are Al Q'aeda hate the Shia more than they hate us. There is no connection.
So Iran (bad guys) is in trouble because some of the 911 hijackers passed through Iran. On their way from Pakistan (good guys) to Saudi Arabia (good guys) no doubt.

Blair is finished.the Tories are not a threat so Labour can still stay in power after the next General Election. But they need to lose Blair He is now a liability.

?

Nice to see the Liberal Democrats giving Blair a bloody nose. What a bunch of wankers the Tories are though. In my view they are finished as a political force. They are irrelevant and thankfully a dying (literally) breed. Good riddance.
Now that Butler has confirmed the basic accuracy of Andrew Gilligan's story, does Gilligan get his job at the BBC back? It's only fair.

Yesterday The Governor of Nineveh province (including Mosul and the Northern Oil fields) was murdered. here's what I wrote on June 8th.

"The attempt to kill the mayor of Mosul today by a car bomb(15 dead)makes me wonder about the situation in Iraqi Kurdistan again. We keep hearing about the Shia and Sunni problems in the South, and very little about the Kurds (until a bomb goes off) It seems to me that the situation there, with it's connections with Iran Turkey and Syria, is potentially far more explosive than we are led to believe.

It's the "freedom front" a more loony version of "The Heritage Foundation". Also, I hear that one of the things the Republicans are saying about John Kerry is that "he's too French". What the fuck is that supposed to mean.
So according to Butler, loads of things went wrong but no-one is to blame. Hmmm.

12.7.04

I see that Blair and Bush are now trying to get NATO to pay for the reconstruction of Iraq. Apparently France and Germany are not keen. Couldn't have seen that one coming.

11.7.04

This is becoming bizarre. CIA, MI6, Bush, Blair - all astounded at the fact that there was no threat from Saddam, or connection with Al Qaeda, and that therefore technically this was an illegal war. How could they have known? How daft do they think we are?
